Holbox food delivery

Uber Eats, Rappi and DiDi Food do not operate in Holbox, so delivery used to mean calling or messaging each restaurant on WhatsApp. With Holbox Go you order from island restaurants on holboxgo.com or in the app, with their real menu and prices in pesos, and a local courier brings it by bike, cart or on foot to your hotel, house or the beach. You see the delivery fee and total before you order, pay by card or cash and follow your order live.

How to order food in Holbox

You do not need to download anything or create an account: just your email for order updates.

  • Pick an open restaurant and build your order with photos and prices.
  • Mark on the map where we deliver: a hotel or guesthouse, a house or business, or a spot on the beach.
  • Check the delivery fee, estimated time and total before you confirm.
  • Pay by card on a secure page or in cash on delivery.
  • Follow your order live: received, being prepared, on the way and delivered.

Delivery to your hotel, house or the beach

We deliver across the town and the hotel strip. On the beach, the courier comes to the access point nearest the spot you marked, because nobody drives on the sand or in protected areas. Beach delivery can cost a little more. You can also pick up your order at the restaurant with no delivery fee.

How you pay

Pay by card on a secure Stripe page or in cash on delivery. On your first order cash may have a limit, and in the app it is enabled once you save a card. Tips are optional and 100 % goes to whoever delivers.

Opening hours and delivery times

Each restaurant sets its own hours; if it is closed or paused you see it before you build your order. Before you confirm we show a range of minutes for delivery, which depends on the kitchen, the distance and how many couriers are out at the time. In high season and at dinner time it can take longer.

Ordering from your hotel or house

Search for your hotel on the map or tap the exact spot, and leave directions such as "reception", "blue gate" or your cabin number. If you are staying in a house with no clear address, the map pin is enough. Please do not leave packaging on the beach: rubbish is hard to get off the island.

What to order in Holbox

Fresh fish and seafood, ceviche, tacos, the island lobster pizza, bakery breakfasts and Yucatecan cooking. Mexican Caribbean lobster has a closed season from 1 March to 30 June; in those months ask where it comes from or pick another dish.

For Holbox restaurants

If you run a restaurant on the island, you can take orders in Holbox Go with the Holbox Socios app or the portal at socios.holboxgo.com, with your menu, your hours and local couriers.
