Holbox grocery delivery

With Holbox Go you order from Holbox grocery stores, pharmacies, fruit shops, bakeries and wine shops, and an island shopper does your shopping and brings it by bike, cart or on foot to your hotel or house. You choose with the store photos and prices, decide what happens if something is out and only pay for what is bought. If what you need is not in the catalogue, ask for an errand and the shopper finds it in any shop on the island.

How grocery delivery works

You can order on holboxgo.com or in the app, in English or Spanish.

  • Pick an island store and build your order with photos and prices.
  • For each product decide what happens if it is out: ask you, swap it for something similar, or remove it and refund you.
  • Mark where we deliver, your hotel or your house, and see the estimated total.
  • A shopper does the shopping and tells you in the app and by email if you need to pick a swap.
  • You get your groceries and pay what the receipt says, never more than you authorised.

What you can order

Groceries and pantry staples, pharmacy, fruit and vegetables, bakery, wine and spirits, and other island shops. Prescription items need a prescription and 18+ items need ID on delivery.

Prices and fair charging

You see the store prices and an estimated total. By card we hold the estimate and only charge what is bought; the rest is released. For items sold by weight you pay the real weight, at most 10 % more than you asked for. Delivery, service and your shopper tip are shown separately before you order.

Where we deliver

Across the town and the hotel strip of Holbox, to your hotel or your house. Groceries are not delivered to the beach.

Opening hours and delivery time

Each store shows whether it is open, closed or paused. If it is closed you can build your order and place it when it opens. Before you confirm you see a range of minutes for delivery, which depends on the size of your order, the store and how many shoppers are out at the time.

Ideas for when you arrive

When you arrive, it helps to order the basics for a house or a hotel with a kitchen: water, fruit, coffee, bread, snacks, sunscreen, repellent and baby supplies. That way you do not carry bags along the sand streets. If you come as a group, one big order usually works better than several small ones.

Not in the catalogue? Ask for an errand

Write your list and a shopper buys it wherever you say on the island: the hardware store, the pharmacy, the corner shop or anywhere else. They keep you posted and you pay what it costs.

Cash or card

Pay by card on a secure Stripe page. Cash on delivery is enabled once you have completed orders in Holbox Go. There are few ATMs on the island, so a card is usually easiest.

Fares and times are approximate; in Holbox Go you see the exact total before you confirm.
